Note from Mrs. Eder/ Teacher Kim. “I believe that early childhood is a special and critical time of learning and growth in health and development. I will nurture and support each child in a caring and safe environment that inspires a love of learning, reading, and school. I recognize the uniqueness of each child and the diversity of every child’s needs. As an early childhood educator, I intentionally plan activities, conversations, and explorations in order to grow character and construct knowledge thru learning opportunities and experiences that focus on the development of cognitive, emotional, social, physical, linguistic, and spiritual skill building. Each day every child will be invited to take part in small group, large group, self-initiated learning, creative expression, early literacy and math experiences, scientific experimentation, as well as fine and gross motor activities. ”
Scappoose Adventists School’s PreK program is State Certified, open to all three thru five-year old children, and is guided by high quality, play-based, hands-on “Mother Goose Time” curriculum. Our mission is to work in partnership with each family in order to educate responsible, lifelong learners that possess the necessary skills, knowledge, creativity, sense of self-worth, and values needed to thrive. The PreK classroom is a sensory rich learning environment that encourages children’s natural curiosity and supports risk taking that can lead to new skill development. We value small class size, and are currently restricting to 10 students per day. We do have limited openings so please contact us today!
