Music Teacher
Debbie Wheeler
Our music teacher is Debbie Wheeler. Debbie holds a master’s degree in education with a focus on child development and will complete a second master’s degree in professional counseling with a focus on youth and family interaction in December 2017.

Debbie feels that music should be interactive, exciting and enjoyable.  With the encouragement of parents, practice empowers students to achieve and progress as well as instill great confidence in performing.  Debbie has facilitated a community band program bringing together students from six area schools into one grand group that performs at local events as well as Zoo Lights each year.

Debbie feels that music is a universal language that brings the world together.  As 2 Chronicles 5:13 states,

“ It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord”
